The Libertines will be playing a third summer festival, this time it’s Portugal’s Optimus Alive Festival ( nothing to do with Transformers) on July 12th. They will be playing alongside other festival veterans The Arctic Monkeys ,The Black Keys and Bastille.

The London band are also set to play the BST Festival at Hyde Park on July 5th, their first UK concert since they headlined the Reading Festival in 2010. The band have hinted that they will preview some new material or even some older songs they never got round to completing. Arcade Fire, Mcbusted, Black Sabbath, Neil Young and Sir Tom Jones, will all be headlining the new Hyde Park festival that spans from the 3rd through to the 13th of July. Some tickets are still available here.

The Libertines are also set to play Spain’s Benicàssim Festival on July 19th. The other headliners are Kasabian, Tinie Tempah and Paolo Nutini. The festival runs from 17th to the 20th of July.
