Lana Del Ray has released the video for her upcoming single ‘Ultraviolence’. Director Francesco Corrozzini depicts Ray as a lost bride, veil and wedding bouquet in tow, wandering around in the wilderness. Occasionally, a males (presumably Corrozzini’s) hand emerges from the camera to stick his fingers in Ray’s mouth, presumably in a loving way.
The video has a somewhat retro feel about it, with burn outs and raspy streaks, which all adds to the vintage, retro feel Lana Del Ray invokes.
Following the controversial lyrics of the song, Ray has told Rolling Stones the audience does not feature highly when she is penning lyrics, saying:
‘I just don’t want them to hear it at all. I’m very selfish. I make everything for me, kind of. I mean, every little thing, down to the guitar and the drums. It’s just for me’
The album is out now and available to buy via Interscope.
