As the old saying goes, there is no rest for the wicked. If this is the case then Jack White must be one wicked man. It was announced earlier this week that the White Stripes man is preparing to release his new solo album and now it seems he will be doing more than just that.
April 19th is once again Record Store Day, the annual event where people hit their local independents and get a whole host of amazing rarities. To celebrate the event Jack White will be breaking records by recording and releasing a track on the same day.
The Raconteurs man will be hitting the stage at 10am to perform the title track ‘Lazaretto’ from his upcoming solo outing. This will be recorded straight to acetate for a very limited edition release, available later that same day. The vinyl sleeve will be made of pictures taken at the recording and they will keep printing them until the fans in attendance stop buying.
