Front woman of legendary band Blondie, has reported hinted that this could be the last world tour the band embark on.
Drummer, Clem Burke, who has been with the band since the beginning in 1972, told The Province in a recent interview that this tour could the last for Blondie:
“By the time we get to beautiful Vancouver, B.C., we will have toured Europe, played Glastonbury and done a number of big festivals in North America,” he told The Province. “As for the rumours of the last tour, we’ve decided we’ll live forever. But Debbie, is older than me and has hinted it could be time. Obviously without her, there is no Blondie.”
The band is currently part way through their world tour, having played Glastonbury festival a few weeks ago and are due to play two UK dates before heading to the US. Blondie will be playing Bristol O2 Academy on August 19 and Leicester O2 Academy on August 20.
