Former Oasis and Beady Eye guitarist Andy Bell has opened up about the split of Liam Gallagher‘s post Oasis band Beady Eye. The frontman announced via Twitter on October that the band had split.
Speaking to NME about the reunion of his 90’s band Ride, Bell said that “Beady Eye just sort of ran its course really. Liam had been pretty quiet for a while, and them he just let us know that his heart wasn’t really in it any more.”
Liam has been contending with well publicized personal upheaval following the revelation that he fathered a love child with an American journalist, fuelling the breakdown of his marriage to former All Saints singer Nicole Appleton. Speaking about Beady Eye’s second album ‘Be’, he told Q that if the album was not successful he would consider quitting music saying “Maybe I’d just sail off into the distance and enjoy my life, instead of worrying what some spotty little twat from Hastings thinks about the record.”
Bell’s band Ride have announced a reunion tour next year, the band released four albums between 1990 and 1996 before splitting. The band will play the following dates:

22nd – Glasgow Barrowland
