Ever wanted a beauty website that promotes environmentally-friendly cosmetics? If yes then good news. Sleigh Bells’ Alexis Krauss has just launched the perfect site for you.
Alongside her Harvard educated friend Jessica Assaf, they have set up BeautyLiesTruth.com – aimed to give the beauty industry a makeover!
The site deals with tutorials on how to make yourself beautiful without the use of any toxic chemicals.
Krauss told MTV: “I just had this epiphany and realised I was totally ignorant about the products I was using… I’m an ethical consumer, and then I realised, ‘Holy shit. I think about all this stuff I put in my body, but I don’t know about any of the shit I’m putting on my skin. It’s for people who want to look good, want to wear lipstick, and don’t just want to go all-natural because that’s not realistic for the average person. I want to wear mascara, I want to wear eyeshadow, I want to wear perfume, I want to wear body lotion, but I want to do it and know that I’m not compromising my health for the sake of looking good.”
Their are rumours that Winston Marshall from Mumford n Sons is looking into doing a hillbilly-chic beauty site of his own.
