Touted as a festival with sound and lighting tweaked to perfection, combined with the stunning backdrop of the Powderham Castle grounds, weather forecasted to be sunshine all day and an Electronic line-up assembled by the Thick as Thieves collective, Hijacked Festival is set to be an impressive plethora of entertainment larger than the success of last year, held at Double Locks.
1. Plan Your Transport In Advance!
There is a bus shuttle service to Exeter City Centre, where wider transport links are available. Trains come into Starcross station, which is the closest to the festival, just a 10 minute walk. No parking is available on site and the nearest available spaces are quite a distance away, so it is recommended to take a taxi. It’s worthwhile calling around a few companies and pre-booking this in advance too, as when we did some research, some taxi firms (such as Gemini Taxis) quoted about three times the price of competitors! There is also a Stagecoach bus service that departs from Kenton (about 30 minutes walk) or Starcross, which may be a more viable option (but we expect these to be busy and recommend grabbing an earlier one if you want to ensure you secure a space!)
2. Download The App
There is a mobile app available for iOS and Android, for instant access to the latest line-up and more. Trust us when we say it’s essential to have at this festival. Download the Android app here and the iOS app here.
3. Artwork Is A Must Watch
Artwork always works the crowd into a frenzy and we can guarantee you’ll be in for a great time! If you like to party hard and laugh a lot, don’t miss out!
Hijacked Festival takes place on 30th May 2015 (this Saturday) and features a line-up that includes Congo Natty, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Ms Dynamite, Artwork, Bok Bok, Disciples, Eli & Fur, Mak & Pasteman and much more.
Tickets are still available on the Hijacked Festival website for £34.00 plus a £3.40 booking fee, get them here.
