DJ and Dim Mak Records main man Steve Aoki has won a boatload of good karma with his latest venture, a massive donation of over $65,000 to four good causes through the Steve Aoki Charitable Fund.
On the receiving end were the Brain Preservation Foundation, the American Brain Foundation, Infusio and the University Of Rochester Medical Center – Memory Care Program. The funds were raised by taking one dollar from every ticket sold during his Aoikify America tour of the USA, and fans were asked to vote for a cause of their choice to be awarded the biggest sum via Aoki’s Facebook page.
Aoki himself had this to say:
“My philanthropy work is just as important to me as my music. I’ve been involved with many charities and non-profit organizations throughout my career, and I always take the time to give back and volunteer when I can. These four organisations represent the best in what they do, and I’m stoked to be working with them“.
Hats off to you, Dim-Mak daddy!
