Sonar festival held in Barcelona, Spain have added more than 40 new names to complete its line-up for 2014! Some of the acts to jump out include MØ in addition to a DJ set from James Holden and Daphni (Caribou’s alter ego) and ‘Whorl’, the new project by British duo Simian Mobile Disco at the SonarComplex!
Sonar have also added to their foray of Spanish talent to represent the local scene including: Nev.Era., Pina, DJ2D2, Mwëslee and more! This year Sonar have also added an element of contemporary dance & performing arts by collaborating with Barcelona’s Mercat de les Flors. These acts sit beside the likes of Buraka Som Sistema, Chris & Cosey, Tokimonsta & Debruit who have completed the Red Bull Music Academy line-up for the SonarDôme stage.
On Thursday June 12th Sonar by Day will play host to the first European performance of Plastikman‘s developing ‘Objekt‘ live concept in which he will premiere his new compositions.
