Backstreet Boys Break Jacuzzi World Record!

Backstreet Boys officially hold the Guinness World Record for “Most Nationalities In A Jacuzzi” – seriously!

The Backstreet Boys are arguably one of the biggest boybands in the world, well known for their iconic ’90s  hits, ‘Quit Playing Games (with My Heart)‘ and ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)‘, but did you know that they are also successful world record breakers and cruise-goers?

During their annual cruise through the Meatatarian sea, the boys successfully attempted to break the world record for ‘most nationalities in a Jacuzzi’, this was verified aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship in Florence, Italy on Friday, May 13, 2016.  Backstreet Boys had to stand in a hot tub with 30 of their fans, all of the different nationalities including Italy, Norway, and Israel for a total of five minutes. They successfully beat the original record which was set in 2012 with 26 nationalities taking part. A.J. McLean stated that “it has been great to take part in a Guinness World Records attempt and to do it with our fans has been amazing. We felt like we wanted to do something together and to add world record to our achievements is incredible.”

The backstreet boys aren’t new to achieving world records, they also hold a Guinness World Records title for their achievements in music – having sold 12.25 million copies of their 1999 album, Millennium, in the USA alone, achieving a grand title of the Best-selling Album in the USA by a Boy Band.

The Backstreet Boys looked like they had a blast on their 2016 European cruise, later tweeting on their official twitter account, “We had such an amazing time on the #BSBCruise2016. Ain’t no party like a BSB Cruise party ❤️” Anyone can go on the cruise with the boys, as long as they’ve got at least £1196.84 to spare on a single “interior room” for four nights. What mad record they will be looking to attempt next!
