TV Choice Awards 2014: The Winners

Last night was an exciting evening for UK television, as our on-screen stars headed to the TV Choice Awards 2014. We’ve got a run-down of the big winners and a full list of awards here!

Last night was an exciting evening for UK television, as our on-screen stars headed to the TV Choice Awards 2014. Some of the big awards of the night went to BBC with the Best Soap and Best Drama going to Eastenders and Sherlock respectively, Benedict Cumberbatch also received the Best Actor award for his role as Sherlock in the BBC drama.

Best Actor and Actress in a Soap Opera were both snatched by BBC’s Eastenders’, Danny Dyer for his role as Mick and Lindsay Coulson as Carol in Eastenders. Best Newcomer went to Kirsty-Leigh Porter of Hollyoaks and Best Storyline to Hayley’s caner plot in Coronation Street.

It was also a good night for presenting duo Ant and Dec, they received a Special Contribution award, their Saturday Night Takeaway received Best Entertainment show and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Britain’s Got Talent (which they present) also received awards.

Best Daytime Show – The Jeremy Kyle Show (ITV)

Best Food Show – Gordon Ramsay’s Home Cooking (Channel 4)

Best International Show – Game Of Thrones (Sky Atlantic)

Best Soap Actor – Danny Dyer, EastEnders (BBC)

Best Soap Newcomer – Kirsty-Leigh Porter, Hollyoaks (Channel 4)

Best Soap Actress – Lindsey Coulson, EastEnders (BBC)
