Rob Zombie & Bret Easton Ellis Team Up For ‘Manson Family’ Series

Rob Zombie is set to team up with Brent Easton Ellis for a new TV series based on the ‘Mansion Family’ murders.

Rock Star and horror director, Rob Zombie, is set to team up with ‘American Psycho’ author, Bret Easton Ellis, for a new TV series based on murderer Charles Manson and his Mansion Family cult.

The series is set to be given the green light by US TV company Fox, according to Variety. If commissioned, Zombie is to direct, with Ellis writing the scripts.

Speaking on the project, Rob Zombie said:

“I have been obsessed with this insane story since I was a kid, so obviously I jumped at the chance to be involved in this incredible project.

After speaking with Bret, I immediately realised that we shared the same vision for this epic madness.”

The series is set to look into the official reports of the many murders that Charles Manson and his “family” cult notoriously committed in the late 60s.

Rob Zombie’s previous directorial efforts include ‘The Devils Rejects‘ and 2007’s ‘Halloween‘ Reboot.

Bret Easton Ellis‘ controversial novel ‘American Psycho‘ was adapted into a film starring Christian Bale, released in 2000.
