Doctor Who fans are being given another chance to watch the first episode of the new series, in a premiere in London on 7th August. This will join the Cardiff screening, which takes place a few weeks before the episode’s BBC1 debut on the 23rd.
The screening is to be held in British Film Institute on the South Bank, and fans will also get a chance to meet the Doctor and the cast in a Q+A following the screening.
The new series, which will feature the first scenes of Peter Capaldi as the newly regenerated Time Lord, will begin with a feature length 80-minute episode entitled “Deep Breath”. This first episode was already set for a screening in Cardiff, where the series is filmed, which takes place earlier in the day before the London showing.
Tickets for the early-bird viewings are so popular they are being allocated by ballot. However, some fans have already seen a leaked section of the episode earlier this week, which received mixed reviews. Information on how to apply for tickets can be found on the British Film Institute website.
