Keith Allen has revealed that he has auditioned for a part in Game Of Thrones and may be making an appearance in the hit TV series. Allen, known for previous acting roles in Robin Hood and Trainspotting, has auditioned for the HBO fantasy series as a slave who leads a rebellion “like Spartacus”.
Allen said of the series: “Every scene is a bloodbath. Frankly I think I’m cut out for that.”
If he lands the part, he’ll be acting alongside his son, Alfie Allen, who has played Reek in every season of the series so far. Keith has previously auditioned for the role of Alfie’s on-screen father Theon Greyjoy, but claimed he deliberately “did a rubbish audition” because he thought the offer was “a bit cheesy, a bit obvious“.
It was also rumoured that Lily Allen, sister to Alfie, turned down the part of Reek’s sister due to incestuous scenes which would be “uncomfortable” to shoot with her real life brother. This rumour has since been denied by Alfie, who said: “The only thing I’m going to say on that is that it’s not true.”
Other members of the current cast are Lena Headey, Charles Dance, Diana Rigg and Aidan Gillen.
