Marvel’s projects seem to be all over the place recently, with Edgar Wright leaving Ant-Man last week. Now, writer/director Drew Goddard has made the bold decision to leave the Daredevil TV series to focus on Sony’s Amazing Spider-Man spin-off Sinister Six.
Who is going to take the Daredevil reigns? Well, Marvel have announced that former Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly writer Steven S. DeKnight will be the showrunner of all 13 episodes of the first series. So, we are expecting dark humour and kick-ass fighting scenes that echo Buffy but also hint at that sarcastic Marvel tone.
However, Goddard will still be linked to the series as an executive producer.
Daredevil will start airing exclusively on Netflix in 2015.
