AMC have released a second teaser trailer for the keenly awaited Better Call Saul, giving us another small glimpse of our favourite “criminal lawyer” in action. Although something is better than nothing, the second trailer is equally as short and non-informative as the 9 second clip released earlier in the month.
The bulk of the trailer is a discussion between co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould over the origins of Saul Goodman (who begins his career and the series under the name of Jimmy McGill) and what made him become involved with the dangerous clients we see in Breaking Bad. Gould muses: “What kind of a problem do you have that becoming Saul Goodman solves it?”
We see a short clip of a young Jimmy McGill speaking to some clients at the end of the trailer. He says “I don’t go out looking for guilty people to represent, who needs that aggravation?” A small nod to his future career and his involvement with meth cook Walter White.
