The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) have announced that the annual EE British Academy Film Awards will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2015.
The awards will be housed at London’s Royal Opera House and will be broadcast by the BBC in the UK.
The BAFTA awards celebrate and reward the best work of any nationality seen on British cinema screens in the previous year. Several honours are reserved for UK productions such as the award for Outstanding British Film which was won by Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity this year. Cuarón also won Best Director for the film.
Gravity picked up a handful of wins, while this year’s Best Film was awarded to 12 Years a Slave.
