‘Zero Dark Thirty’ – A Film About Osama Bin Laden Hits The Internet (Official Trailer!)

Director of ‘The Hurt Locker’ new movie about the hunt for al-Qaeda leader debuts its trailer – see it first here!

‘Zero Dark Thirty’ – a film about the killing of Osama Bin Laden has released it’s official trailer on the internet this week (watch it below!)

Due out in December (US release date), ‘The Hurt Locker’ director and James Cameron‘s ex missus Kathryn Bigelow ‘s forthcoming movie follows the US Navy Seal unit who raided the compound of al-Qaeda leader Bin Laden’s on 2 May last year, on the orders of the US president Barack Obama.

It’s been reported Bigelow had been planning a film about the hunt for Bin Laden well before last year’s events and has no political motive – despite drawing in criticism earlier this year after it emerged Obama’s administration supposedly shared information with the production team.

However, the film is going to be released after the US presidential elections – believed to fan down any Republican’s fears that the movie might show Obama in a flattering, heroic light which could then influence voters.  Bigelow’s screen writing partner Mark Boal, a former freelance war journalist, told Entertainment Weekly:  “There’s no political agenda in the film. Full stop. Period.  A lot of people are going to be surprised when they see the film. For example, the president is not depicted in the movie. He’s just not in the movie.”

Some of the notable cast includes Jessica Chastain, Joel EdgertonMark Duplass, Kyle Chandler and Mark Strong.  After Bigelow and Boal’s great success with ‘The Hurt Locker’ this could be the big movie to end 2012 – take a look for yourself.
