WWE star Sheamus is tipped to play iconic villain Darth Vader in the forthcoming Star Wars film, after dropping several hints on his social media site, Twitter.
The 36-year-old Irish wrestler teased sci-fi fans with a cryptic, double-negative message tweet, saying that he “can’t confirm” that he “won’t not be” taking the role.
Recently, Sheamus, real named Stephen Farrelly, was spotted close to where filming is taking place on the Skellig Michael island, which heighten rumours of the role. Strong rumours suggest that the island is expected to play home to Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Academy
The Irish Mirror was the first to suggest that Sheamus was a part of director J.J Abrams‘ cast, and he has played Vader on promotional tours before.
In a response to the article, Sheamus made a reference to his “epic trip home” in an interview and shared a photo of a lightsaber.
Two of Sheamus’ co-workers Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Dave ‘Batista’ Bautista are currently on the big screens this year in Hercules and Guardians of the Galaxy respectively.
