With Marvel’s “gamble” of Guardians Of The Galaxy paying off massively, the studio are now looking at other heroes within their canon to potentially adapt into their Marvel Cinematic Universe. Today it has been speculated that this will be in the form of The Inhumans.
These characters are described as “the most uncanny heroes of all” and were created when the alien race, Kree, (Ronan The Accuser’s race from Guardians) began experimenting on Earth’s primative inhabbitants. They tried splicing in different DNA from other-worldly extraterrestrials to see what they could produce and from the ashes of these trails, The Inhumans were born.
The gang included heroes such as Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon, Triton, Crystal, Maximus the Mad and Lockjaw, the line-up was constantly shifting throughout the comics.
Marvel writing veteran, Joe Robert Cole, has been given the go-ahead by bosses following an acceptence of a script that he penned and alledgedly the studio are now beginning the search for a director.
With Fox owning the rights to X-Men, this could be a way for Disney to own a version of a mutant franchise which they could then tie in to their MCU.
