Sony have announced some news that will make fans of the movie Step Brothers very happy because the hilarious double-act of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly have been cast together in an upcoming comedy, Border Guards.
This will be the first time since Step Brothers that the two have directly co-starred alongside each other and the even better news is that they are also both joining up with Ferrell’s comedy partner, Adam McKay, director of Anchorman 1 & 2, The Other Guys and Talladega Nights, who will be overseeing the project.
The studio has also hired British comedy writing veteran, Jesse Armstrong to write the script about two friends who decide that they should be protecting the borders of America from illegal immigrants and so become border guards to help the situation. They end up getting stranded in Mexico though and so have to try and sneak back in without the authorities catching them.
Armstrong with his writing partner, Sam Bain, have created the likes of Peep Show, Fresh Meat and Four Lions over here and so he certainly has the credentials to write for two of the biggest comedian’s in Hollywood.
