Warner Bros. have announced that they are currently working on another reboot of Scooby Doo.

The studio already tried this in 2002, with some of the brightest talent at the time including Matthew Lillard, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr filling the roles of the Mystery Gang. However, neither this, or it’s sequel two year later, Monsters Unleashed, were well received by the fans.

A decade on though, and a failed 2009 TV-movie prequel attempt later, the producers are once again looking to release a live-action version of the Hanna-Barbera classic TV cartoon. They have given the go ahead to writer Randall Green to produce a script with the story seemingly starting from scratch again.

Guardians Of The Galaxy director, James Gunn, helmed the first two films and Warner Bros. are yet to confirm who will be overseeing the project this time round.
