Warner Bros. have announced that they are currently working on two separate scripts for another one of their Justice League superheroes, Aquaman.
Whilst not previously featuring in a big-screen adaptation, Aquaman is a member of the Justice League and this further confirms the studios lofty ambitious to rival the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They also announced recently their movie release date schedule up until 2020 hinting that their are many more to come.
Jason Momoa has been strongly rumoured for the role this week, but he has cooled these rumours by confirming that these are nothing but speculation.
Warner Bros. have hired both Will Beall (Gangster Squad) and Kurt Johnstad (300: Rise Of An Empire) to write two different versions and the hope is that they can bring them together to make one brilliant origin story.
An underwater superhero who is able to live both under the waves and on dry land is certainly something not seen before and it could be unique enough to rival Marvel’s output.
