Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen and Warm Bodies director Jonathan Levine have recently announced that they will rejoin together to work on a new, untitled comedy that will focus on the subject of Christmas.
Previously working on the cancer drama/comedy 50/50 with Gorden-Levitt and Rogen, Levine has written the script for the new film and is currently only calling Untitled Xmas Comedy. The plot will see three childhood friends reuniting in New York for their annual Christmas Eve blowout. Gordon-Levitt and Rogen are once more playing pals, with casting underway for the third member of the group. Nothing more has been revealed about the plot to date.
Sony has won the rights to the film, which will be produced by the team at Good Universe, formerly known as Mandate Pictures, the name they were working under when they helped get 50/50 made. Cameras should be rolling this summer.
