Piranha 3DD serves up a double helping of Retro Creature Feature goodness with these two tasty Morsels!

Whether you loved it or hated it, 2010’s Piranha 3D unashamedly ravaged its way into many a heart with a tried and tested model of blood, boobs and…well, more blood!

Did it need to be in 3D? Was it a classic horror movie? Did it have a compelling Story? Arguably the answer is no.

But what it did have is the gumption, yes gumption, to not pretend that it was something it wasn’t.

People love a Creature Feature! And that’s what we got with Piranha 3D. But, would we really want to sit through it again?!

Well, this question has been asked alot, and amidst rumours of a Piranha sequel going straight to DVD, we now have 2 fantastic International Posters for Piranha 3DD.

These new posters for Piranha 3DD (pronounced three double D, if you were wondering) are a great throwback to the retro Creature Feature posters of the past, and the tag line ‘Double the Action. Double the Terror. Double the D’s’ sets the tone for a ravenous horror romp.

Directed by John Gulager, creator of the Feast trilogy which is as twisted and wacky as it is gory and unpredictable, has assumed the helm and the responsibility of trumping the first movie’s cocktail of gore and girls.

With Gulager on board, I for one, was already chomping at the bit to get a taste of what gruesome delights were in store, but for me, these posters seal the deal.

Written by Marcus Dustan and Patrick Melton (Feast & the Saw series), the film stars Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Meagan Tandy, Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, Clu Gulager, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd and Paul Scheer.
