Never fear true believers! Peyton Reed is here to save Marvel’s Ant-Man from the dreaded clutches of the cinematic doldrums.
Following the departure of director Edgar Wright due to ‘artistic differences’ Marvel has since confirmed that not only will Reed be taking over as director, but Adam McKay of Anchorman fame will be tackling a brand new script, which he’ll have to work through quickly to ensure the film makes largely unaltered deadlines.
Given Reed’s cinematic history as the director for such films as Yes Man and Down With Love, he might seem like something of an odd choice, until you consider the fact that he developed the original Fantastic Four film at Fox before Tim Story took the reigns.
Ant-Man is still scheduled to hit cinemas on July 17, 2015.
