Selena Gomez is really trying to get rid of her Disney channel alter-ego! In March/April, Gomez starred in Harmony Korine’s controversial dramedy Spring Breakers, which saw four best friends rob a restaurant in order to fund their spring break vacation. In May, the star had a small role in horror thriller Aftershock. Now, Gomez is playing “The Kid” in Courtney Solomon and Yaron Levy’s crime thriller Getaway!
Getaway sees Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke), a ex-car racer who is forced, by a mysterious man, to hijack a car in order to save his kidnapped wife. However, the car’s owner (Selena Gomez) tries to get her car back from the thief but is forced to join him on his fatal journey.
Getaway will reach US screens by the end of August, but UK viewers will have to wait until October to see the film! But in the meantime, check out the official trailer and poster below!
