New Tammy Trailer Featuring Melissa McCarthy

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming film Tammy, featuring Oscar nominated actress Melissa McCarthy

Oscar nominated actress, Melissa McCarthy just can’t keep her hands out of trouble. She managed to steal over audiences as a sloppy criminal in Identity Thief and now she is back to her criminal roots in an upcoming film Tammy, which finds her turning to robbery in more desperate circumstances.

The previous teaser showed us Melissa McCarthy robbing in the fast food restaurant. But this new promo expands the robbery and shows us first glimpse of the other people we’re going to meet along the way. Among them is her grandmother, Pearl (Susan Sarandon), a hard-drinking, tough-living senior who thinks nothing of flashing her breasts when the moment calls for it. There’s also Kathy Bates as Leanor, the woman who calls Pearl mother and Tammy daughter.

It all starts to go bad when Tammy gets fired from her job (by fast food boss Kevin, played by McCarthy’s real-life husband Ben Falcone, who co-wrote the movie with her and directs) and it gets even worse when she discovers that her husband has been cheating on her. Tammy then decides to take a break and leave town for a while, taking Pearl on a road trip that will become a big adventure filled with run-ins with police officers and the decision to “unrob” the restaurant she originally held up.

With Dan Aykroyd, Allison Janney, Toni Collette, Sandra Oh, Gary Cole and Nat Faxon in the cast, Tammy is out on July 4.
