New Poster Art For 300: Rise of An Empire

Check out the new poster art for the epic prequel to 300- ‘300 Rise of An Empire’

To celebrate the release of 300: Rise of An Empire (Formerly The Battle of Artemisia), Warner Bros. Pictures have released the penultimate Comic- Con poster for the epic prequel to 300, this new character art shows Eva Green (Casino Royale) as Artemisia.

Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes, this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. Rise of An Empire sees Themistokles against the colossal horde of invading Persian forces, led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, the vengeful commander of the Persian navy.

With Zack Snyder handing the directorial reigns to Noam Murro it will definitly be interesting to see how the film turns out, but so far it looks like it’s keeping the dramatic and bloody visual style that we saw in ‘300’. Attached to the film is a stellar cast including Jack O’ Connell (Skins), Sullivan Stapleton (Animal Kingdom), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Callan Mulvey (Zero Dark Thirty), Rodrigo Santoro (Love Actually).

The film is due out 7th March 2014. Check out the Comic-Con interview below!
