The upcoming Ghostbusters remake has revealed it’s new all female cast! Director Paul Feig confirmed on Twitter that Bridesmaid actresses Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, and Saturday Night Live comedians Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones are to form the new Ghost-busting team!
The ladies will take over from the original 80s team, made up of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and the late Harold Ramis. The quartet have been rumoured to be linked with the film for some time, with Murray commenting that a female cast would be a “swell” idea. Twitter users expressed their joy, with one user commenting that “you couldn’t get much funnier than those four humans.”
The new rebooted version of Ghostbusters will be released next year, 22 July 2016. Who you gonna call?
