Production for Mission: Impossible 5 has apparently been put on hold for the moment, so that producers can have a last-minute attempt at improving the film’s end. The film was set to be released July 31, a whole 5 months earlier than its original Christmas release, but its uncertain if this will go ahead with the recent production pause.

Sources have reported that the team are “scrambling” to come up with a suitable ending, and an insider at Paramount has stated: “Chris, Tom (Cruise) and a third person wanted to take a minute to get from what they thought was a good place to a more perfect place”.

The fact that there have been no reports of the Mission: Impossible 5 summer release date changing suggests that the delay will likely be only short.
