Marvel have recently been working to put the most popular comics to the big screens, so there is no surprise that a new Captain America sequel featuring Chris Evans is in work. It seems a bit too early to work on a sequel, as the second film, The Winter Soldier, is just about to hit the cinemas. However, Marvel is keen to start working again.
There are no formal details for the upcoming movie, since the second film is still a couple of months away from screens. But sources say that Kevin Feige and co are thrilled with the film so far and have begun early talks about the focus of the third film. There is no release date as of yet and there are no other details to report, beyond the fact that Evans‘ multi-film contract should guarantee his presence.
Fans of Chris Evans won’t have to wait too long to see him dressed as Captain America. Steve Rogers, played by Evans, will be a part of another big movie franchise The Avengers. The upcoming film In Age of Ultron is set to be released in 2015.
In related news, Steve Rogers will be part of another story. Comics veteran Peter David has written a prelude Infinite Comic to the film, set shortly before it begins.
