Zack Snyder’s superhero epic, Man Of Steel, has clocked itself in as the largest opening day of the year with takings of £11.2 million in the UK and Ireland alone. The film is also the second largest opening weekend of the year, falling just shy of Iron Man 3 which racked up £11.4 million in its opening weekend, and the third largest IMAX opening weekend ever!
The great news was revealed to fans of the long- time superhero by President of Warner Bros. UK and Ireland, Josh Berger, who stated that: “We’re thrilled at the tremendous response we’ve seen from audiences to Zack Snyder’s exciting new vision of the iconic Super Hero,” said Berger. “Man of Steel has proven to be the must-see film of the summer.”
Man Of Steel, which stars Henry Cavill, Russel Crowe and Amy Adams and is all UK cinemas now.
