Kick-Ass 2 has released it’s first trailer online – and it’s a hefty 2 and a half minutes long!
Aaron Johnson and Chloë Grace Moretz are back as their teenage superhero alter-egos; Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl, but this time they’re joined by Colonel Stars and Stripes, played by Jim Carrey.
The trio team up to battle against Red Mist, who betrayed Kick-Ass in the first movie, which was not a huge box office success but found late popularity via DVD and Blu-Ray sales.
Originally a comic book by Mark Millar, the script to the sequel written by director Jeff Wadlow has also based itself on the comic book sequel.
The film also stars John Leguizamo, Superbad‘s McLovin’ Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Scrubs actor Donald Faison. Released in the UK 19 July – check out the trailer below.
