You may remember last September we told you about the last Johnnie Walker Blue Label Gentleman’s Wager film which followed the story of two friends placing a wager for a beautiful boat which ultimately took them on a quest for a truly rare experience that money couldn’t buy. Well, Jude Law is back again for The Gentleman’s Wager II and set for another adventure that shows a little gratitude goes a long way.
The film also see’s the welcome return of Giancarlo Giannini who agrees to a wager on his priceless vintage car, a Delahaye 135S classic racing car, that is not only this wagers trophy but also a Walker heirloom, owned by the family since the late 1930s. The rules, Jude has to fix it up and get to Monaco by noon the following day to win the prize!
This is no ordinary race though, as his trip see’s him learn an important lesson in the expression of gratitude and where it can lead you as he meets renowned Chinese actress Zhao Wei.
Jude said about the film, “I’m thrilled to be in the driving seat for the second Gentleman’s Wager film. Being back on set with Giancarlo and also having the opportunity to work with the talented Zhao, was an absolute joy. That coupled with being behind the wheel of the Delahaye 135S racing car, driving through the rolling hills of Italy and out to Monaco, well… I consider myself a lucky man!”
There are even some cameo appearances from a few Formula 1 heroes including Mika Häkkinen and McLaren Honda F1 Driver Jenson Button so look out!
The film all ties in with Johnnie Walker Blue Label, the leading luxury Blended Scotch Whisky brand’s, Joy Will Take You Further campaign and resonates the spirit of personal progress with the key message being that gratitude is the ultimate expression of joy that leads to success.
