Jonathan Levine Rumoured For ‘Doctor Strange’?

Jonathan Levine is rumoured to be helming Marvel comic’s upcoming ‘Doctor Strange’ film.

Marvel Comic’s upcoming Doctor Strange film may have found its director.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 50/50 director Jonathan Levine is in the running to helm the adaptation, which is rumoured to be set for a 2017 release.

Other contenders to direct the project include Mark Andrews (Brave), Nikolaj Arcel (A Royal Affair), and Dean Israelite (Welcome To Yesterday).

Doctor Strange tells the story of a former neurosurgeon and sorcerer, who defends Earth against mystical threats. The film has been strongly hinted by Marvel Studios President of Production, Kevin Feige, as one of the yet-unannounced Marvel titles set for 2017.

Johnny Depp has also been previously linked to star in the project.
