After filming Blue Jasmine in the States, Woody Allen returned once more to Europe with his latest romantic comedy drama, Magic In The Moonlight. Now the first trailer has been released, featuring Emma Stone as Sophie and Colin Firth as Stanley.
The King’s Speech actor stars as a stage magician who travels to the south of France to help his family with an intriguing mystery. A young fascinating woman named Sophie, who claims to be a psychic, is bewitching, bewildering and bothering them in equal measure. Firth is convinced he can help figure her out, but then he meets her – and discovers that she might not be as fake as some suspect and Sophie might be a true talent.
Writer Woody Allen is back to his roots, exploring themes of charm and romance, all couched in the beautiful French countryside. Alongside Firth and Stone, Marcia Hay Harden, Jacki Weaver, Eileen Atkins, Hamish Linklater, Simon McBurney and Ute Lemper will appear on the screen for Magic In The Moonlight.
Hopefully this film will be a true phenomenal, as expected from multiple Oscar winning writer Woody Allen. We’ll have to wait and see when Magic In The Moonlight arrives in the UK on September 19.
