Warner Bros. have released the first trailer for new epic action adventure Edge Of Tomorrow. The movie, directed by Doug Liman, will star Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, and is set in the near future on earth where an alien race has attacked with ferocity too great for any military force to defend. Rookie officer, Major William Cage (Cruise), finds himself thrown into a mission in which he very quickly gets himself killed, resulting in him being thrown into a time loop.
It is within this time loop that Cage must relive the same combat scenes leading to his death over and over again and, from this nightmare existence, find a way to beat the invading aliens. Certainly, from the scenes revealed in the trailer below, the movie is undoubtedly set to be packed with incredible special effects and unrelenting, gripping sci-fi battle scenes to keep any fan of this genre happy. Edge Of Tomorrow is due for release in cinemas and IMAX on June 6th 2014.
