Craig Roberts Jumps Into 22 Jump Street

When the sequel to 21 Jump Street was announced, people were very excited to see where Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum would take their characters given the brilliance of the first film. The ending of the original hinted that they may be going undercover at colleage this time, and the official plot details have confirmed this as well.

With Ice Cube being confirmed a couple of weeks ago, we now know that the welsh actor Craig Roberts will also be joining the cast as a character named Spencer, presumably a student that the duo meet whilst attemping to infiltrate a crime ring within one of the fraternites.

Apart from a few small roles in British TV, Roberts break-out role came in Richard Ayoade’s 2010 coming of age drama Submarine, and he will also collaborate with him again on Ayoade’s upcoming The Double due in 2014. He has also started in Red Lights and Jane Ayre in the last couple of years, and is in the upcoming Neighbours alongside Seth Rogan and Rose Byrne.

22 Jump Street is due for release in the UK on June 6th next year.
