Sherlock actor, Benedict Cumberbatch is set to star in a new thriller “Blood Mountain” which will begin production in April in Morocco.
The Sergei Bodrov directed thriller follows a private military contractor who is forced to personally escort one of the world’s most wanted terrorists over hostile terrain after his special forces team is ambushed and murdered. The pair must then fight for survival against each other, as well as the insurgents and rival mercenaries hunting them.
Lawrence Bender, producer of Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill and famous Inglourious Basterds will be producing alongside Nicola Horlick and James Gibb. Jonathan W. Stokes wrote the original script, which John Romano has revised.
Star Wars fans are concerned as the news of Cumberbatch’s upcoming role has put rumours of a Star Wars: Episode VII appearance in doubt. The Star Wars sequel is reportedly set to start filming in May, meaning that the Benedict Cumberbatch schedules would clash with both major roles.
