Andrew Stanton To Direct Finding Nemo 2?

Could the beloved clown fish father & son duo be returning for a sequel? Talks about continuing the story of Pixar’s second highest grossing film are swimming around! Check out more info here!

According to Deadline, there have been talks confirming a potential sequel for Finding Nemo! Will we be seeing Marlin, the not-so-funny clown fish and Dory, the eccentric Blue Tang fish on another action packed “East Australian Current” ride? The original Finding Nemo director, Andrew Stanton has come up with an interesting concept that Pixar veterans including John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Lee Unkrich and Pete Docter are willing to take on. Therefore, if everything goes ahead, filming for the sequel will occur later on this year!

However, Andrew Stanton’s reputation has taken a bit of a bashing recently, after the poor box office ratings that came about from the release of his first ever live-action film John Carter. The animation director has decided to leave the world of live-action flicks and return to the computer generated world of animation. Hopefully for good!

Nothing is known about the narrative for the sequel, but we do hope that Ellen DeGeneres will lend her voice to Dory once again. It wouldn’t be the same without her sarcastic and dysfunctional take on the character!

So even though we are going to have to wait a while before we see the likes of Marlin and Nemo return to the big screen for a second adventure; the original will be re-released in 3D later this year for a limited time only! So make sure you check out Finding Nemo in 3D to get you prepared for Finding Nemo 2!
