Anchorman 3 “Wont Happen” Says Director

A third Anchorman film is unlikely to happen, says Director Adam McKay.

Anchorman Director, Adam McKay, has said that a third instalment will not happen.

The comedy franchise, which stars Will Ferrell as news anchor Ron Burgundy, has had two instalments, including 2013’s long-awaited sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, which came ten years after the original film.

However, speaking to Empire Magazine, McKay has insisted that a third outing is unlikely to happen:

“It’s done. I think that’s it. It was great to do it and it was so fun to work with those guys again, but I think that’s it for Ron Burgundy.”

The director hopes to move on from the franchise to focus on new projects.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is set to be re-released in cinemas on February 28 for a week-long run, check out the trailer below.
