There’s been major confusion surrounding the character of Quicksilver. X-Men: Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer has stated that he will be introducing Magneto’s son Quicksilver in his X-Men sequel. However, Joss Whedon has also stated that he wants to include Quicksilver in Team Avenger for the Avengers sequel! What this means is that two different actors will be playing the same character for two independent films. Crazy!
Joss Whedon has decided on his Quicksilver and he comes in the form of Kick-ass hero Aaron Taylor-Johnson! Bryan Singer, on the other hand, has decided on the lesser- profile actor Evan Peters, who funnily enough played Todd in the original Kick-Ass.
But do not fret; Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige has come up with a solution… as long as Marvel/Whedon do not mention anything about Magneto or Quicksilver’s parentage and Fox/Singer steer clear from the Avengers, there shouldn’t technically be a problem.
You can next see Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Dave Lizewski in Kick-ass 2! Unfortunately the UK release date has been pushed back from July 19th to August 14th. Sorry guys!
