No…don’t worry, Hollywood has not indulged in it’s current thirst for horrendous remakes or utterly pointless sequels by tainting the memory of the Robert De Niro 90s classic of a similar name. Instead ’47 Ronin’ (based loosely on a true Japanese story) tells the tale of a group of warriors who find themselves in chaos.
After an evil war lord kills their master and exiles their kind, the now leaderless Samurai Vow to exact their revenge. During their quest to restore their honour the group must enlist the help of once rejected outcast Kai ‘Keanu Reeves’.
As the band of Ronin fight their way though a land filled with mythical beasts, Witchcraft, and the supernatural, formerly exiled Kai transforms into their hero, as he leads them on the path to seize eternity.
Due for Uk release on the 26th Of December 47 Ronin has been described as ‘Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon’ meets ‘300′...now that has to be worth a watch! Check out the trailer below and judge for yourself.
