Do you ever wonder what an editor of a high profile fashion magazine would have to say when asked questions about the most controversial questions facing the fashion industry today? We have and Vogue UK editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman provided the answers. Shulman has been the editor-in-chief for the past 20 years of Britain’s top magazine, Vogue and is very well versed on the the fashion industry.
As guest of the Dermot O’Leary radio show on BBC Radio 2, Shulman was asked several questions and one of them was about the up and coming fashion bloggers of today. Shulman feels that todays fashion bloggers could be taking away from a notable journalist, who supposedly know what they’re writing about in comparison to a tech-savvy blogger.
The other question Shulman was asked was about the topic of selling magazines. Indeed Shulman feels it is very important for sales of copies, whether it be via print or online, to have a high-profile star on the cover. Vogue UK is a magazine to many of us, like a fantasy that we live throughout print.
