With changes to it’s creative control and a lucrative initial public offering, Vince has certainly had an eventful financial year. The company recently released it’s fourth quarter and fiscal 2013 results and both have risen significantly. Sales were up by 20.5 percent from the year before in Q4, that’s an estimated 19.9 percent in total sales, full results are yet to be released.
When the brand switched their creative hands twice in 2013, this didn’t seem to have any negative effects at all. They brought in Doo-Ri Chung last January, however, she left shortly, in October and instead of replacing her, they gave president, Karin Gregersen the extra title of ‘Chief Creative Officer’ overseeing the exciting design and merchandising teams.
As long as Vince continues to cater for their customers, providing cosy, great quality knitwear and other wardrobe staples, we think the creative direction is not always necessary.
