Uniqlo has recently launched its debut own-brand childrenswear collection. The range, which consists of mini versions of its classic pieces, from colourful skinny jeans to flannel check skirts, is available online and will also be landing in stores as from Friday August 23.

We are extremely pleased to be launching kids into the UK market this season,” claimed Uniqlo Europe CEO Dr Berndt Hauptkorn. “The collection encapsulates the high-quality design aesthetic and innovative fabrics that Uniqlo uses across all its collections, and we are confident that the collection will be a success among both current and new customers.


Each item in this collection has been designed to cater to the active lifestyles of children: outerwear with name labels and hook loops sewn into the interior so that its young owners can identify their coats easily in the classroom, pockets specially sewn to prevent tears, and adjustable waistbands to ensure that each piece is as comfortable as it can be.


With prices ranging between £5.90 and £49.90, the collection is practical, functional and colourful, and it also encapsulates the pared-down, relaxed sensibility for which the brand is known.
