Tinie Tempah Launches Fashion Label

Tinie Tempah has bought out his own clothing line…. and we’ve gotta say, it ain’t bad!

When having a conversation with HTF‘s Editor, Mr Chris Hines, he told me I should include news that Tinie Tempah had just released a new clothing line. My reaction, put politely, was no. After the DISASTER that is Kanye West‘s attempt at designing, I was heavily reluctant to include or even publicise the fact that Tinie was trying it too. Now you have to understand, as a designer myself it pretty much angers me that people like Kanye think they can just swan into the industry, straight into Paris Fashion Week, with all their money and think they can design. Stick to rapping Mr West. But after reading a recent article with Mr Tempah and seeing his line… I’m actually a little surprised… I like it! It’s true to him and his musical style. He hasn’t tried to start off big and be someone he is not, instead he has decided to start low and aim high!

“I love clothes and this brand expresses my style of street-cool culture mixed with high-end fashion,” says Tinie.

Reece Crisp, Selfridges‘ contemporary buyer stated; “Music and fashion have always gone hand-in-hand and it’s something we know our customers…feel passionately about – so Disturbing London with Tinie Tempah is something we’re incredibly excited to be launching. The product is really commercially promising – we’re seeing a huge appetite for streetwear at the moment, and the price point is great.”

Prices range between £25 and £245 and feature some graphic print tee’s, sweatshirts and chinos, available in four national Selfridges stores and online. Why not check out Disturbing London for yourself 😉 well done Mr Tempah, we fashionably salute you!
