Vogue‘s September issue features three of the most famous models in the industry at the moment on the cover. The September issue is generally a big deal for every fashion magazine who all try to bag the world’s most famous celebrities to grace their cover in the hope it will help them sell more copies.
One of the most anticipated is Vogue, who never disappoint with their cover girls. Over the past ten years they have chose a number of high profile actresses to go on the cover. In 2008 it was British actress Keira Knightley who was given one of fashion’s finest honours when she starred on the cover, Kirsten Dunst in 2006 and back in 2005 Sarah Jessica Parker took to the cover.
This September Vogue have opted to have models rather than celebrities, but these girls are so much more than pretty faces. In another of their social media themed covers, Vogue present to us the “Instagirls”, Joan Smalls, Cara Delevigne and Karlie Kloss who each have millions of followers on Instagram.
It has been exactly ten years since Vogue last put three models on the cover. Daria Werbowy, Natalia Vodianova and Gisele Bündchen were the models who featured on the cover of the September 2004 issue. That year, the cover was a fold-out and featured even more top models including Gemma Ward and Karen Elson.
A source has confirmed that this year’s cover will be the same and feature Arizona Muse, Edie Campbell, Imaan Hammam, Fei Fei Sun, Vanessa Axente and Andreea Diaconu.
The magazine is due to hit news stands any day now in America and will be available from select stores in the UK.
