Miranda Kerr has been named as the new face of lingerie brand Wonderbra. The model ended her contract with Victoria’s Secret last year after representing the famous brand as an ‘Angel’ for six years. Miranda cited her three-year-old son Flynn and a other commitments in her life as her reason.
“I have felt this coming since my son was born and, after I became a mother, I realised I needed to prioritise my time,” she told the Sydney Morning Herald. “I’m just not in a position to commit to a full contract at this time. It’s three months at bare minimum.”
In 1994 Eva Herzigova caused a stir as the face of Wonderbra with her billboard said to be so distracting to male motorists it supposedly caused car crashes. The Hello Boys campaign was later named the most iconic advert of all time in 2011.
Miranda Kerr may have left Victoria’s Secrets a year ago but she certainly hasn’t taken a back seat in this fast paced industry. Kerr is working on a number of various projects from designing a fine china collection to recording an Elvis cover with Australian-Based singer Bobby Fox.
The star has also taken over from Brazilian beauty Gisele Bundchen as the new face of H&M and also features in Reebok’s new campaign. This is one woman who has certainly found the perfect balance for her successful career and family life. Who knows, maybe women can have it all? This signals a new direction and chapter in Miranda Kerr’s life and we for one cannot wait to see more from the Australian model.
